Haul - ColourPop Cosmetics, Sephora, MAC, Rite Aide & TJ's Max

I did damage once again purchasing items at ColourPop Cosmetics, Sephora, MAC, Rite Aid & TJ's Max.  I wanted to share some cool products with you.

ColourPop was celebrating there 1st year Anniversary by giving away a FREE eye shadow called "Birthday Girl" with a purchase (over $30 is FREE S&H).  The packaging is so pretty in hot pink and a picture of a cake in the center.

I purchased LIMITED "Where the Light Is" Collection.  The set was a collaboration with Kathleen Lights - a YouTube guru.

Collection Includes: Glow; Blaze; Cornelious; Kathleen Lights;

And of course it didn't just stop there.

L to R: Cornelious; Shark Attack; Kathleen Lights; Birthday Girl

L to R: Rex; Taco; I Heart this; Blaze

The colors are so pretty and pigmented mixed with matte and metallic finish.

I also purchased 1 Lippi Stix and Lippi Pencil both in 'Tootsi', which is described as a matte cool-toned grey beige

Left to Right: Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil

Sephora

This limited summer collection set comes with the following:
  • NARS 'Supervixen' lip gloss (full size)
  • Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in 'Park Avenue Princess #1' (travel size)
  • BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed highlighter in 'Opal' (travel size)
  • Urban Decay baked duo eyeshadow 'Half Baked/Twice Baked' (full size)
  • Bite Beauty High Pigmented Pencil 'Madeira' (travel size)
  • Sephora Contour Eye Pencil  12 Hr Wear Waterproof in '#14 Cocoa - Chocolate' (full size)
  • Too Face Chocolate Soleil Bronzer 'Chocolate Soleil' (travel size)
  • Formula X Nail Color 'Evocative' (travel size)
I was super excited about this collection because it comes with brands that I love and/or already use.  It has 2 full size items and the rest in travel sizes, which I really like.  The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the product by Too Faced.  I wish Sephora would have added the new addition 'Dark Chocolate' instead of 'Chocolate Solei'.  Overall, I highly recommend to get it before it's sold out.  It retails at $39.00.  I believe it's sold out online but I have seen it in 2 Sephora stores.

Nars 'Supervixen' is described as sheer sparkling mauve
Park Avenue Princess #1, #2 and #3
Sorry for the poor lighting.  Sadly, my Tarte crayon completely broke off the pencil before I got a chance take swatches.  The swatches above were taken at Sephora.

Becca highlighter described as a golden opal pearl
Urban Decay baked duo eyeshadow - I would describe it as a gold and bronze color.  *This is the only product that is limited*
Bite Beauty is described as a nude pink
This is a nice smooth eye pencil.  I will describe the color to its name - Chocolate

    MAC Cosmetics

It's been a while since I have personally used any product from MAC besides eyeshadow, lipstick, lip gloss or lip liner.  Lately, I've been having a little addiction to MAC foundation and skin products.

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation is NEW to the Pro Longwear family and I LOVE IT!!  It's a beautiful & lightweight foundation that makes your skin look super flawless.  It's a medium to full coverage and can be used on any skin type.

I have heard wonderful reviews about this product but never thought of picking it up until now.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone Treatment

This is good to use by those who have oily to oily-combination skin.  You apply it to your T-zone, which are the areas that get oily on your face and it will absorb the oil to keep that area matte.

    MAC Brush #135

MAC recently released new brushes and I have been EYING it for a hot minute especially this face brush in particular.  I really like "paddle" brushes because I like to pat on my makeup opposed to brush/buff it on.  I have large pores on my nose and during the summer it gets so bad due to the heat.  I have to use skin treatment to reduce it and makeup to camouflage it.  And when I use a brush, any in particular, around my nose area, I feel like it never looks like the rest of my face.  Therefore, I would use a puff that helps apply powder better than a brush around my nose.  All that said, this brush has been a win-win!  It's the perfect tool to use around my nose and face and I LOVE IT!!!  It helps leave my makeup application looking beautiful including my nose.

    MAC Pro Longwear eyeshadow 'Uninterrupted'

I kept hearing people on YouTube mention that MAC was discontinuing these eyeshadows, but until my friend in my head Jean Francois mentioned it, I ran to MAC to purchase it.  It's a great transitional color and I really like these type of "muddy" colors especially on green and brown eyes.
I highly recommend to check Jean Francois' channel on YouTube.  He's an amazing artist.

    I used 'Uninterrupted' my crease

Shroom is the first eye shadow I ever owned by MAC and my most repurchase color.  I love this color because it's a satin finish so it gives a small amount of shimmer that  is enough for a pop without over doing it. I love to use this under the brow bone.

Left to Right: Teddy (matte brown with red under tone) and Costa Richie (chocolate brown with bronze)
I have never owned these two colors before but it works well as a duo.  I like to use Teddy as a base color and Costa Richie for extra dimension. I highly recommend it.

Matte Lipstick: Top - Whirl  / Bottom - Stone

I love the lip pencil Whirl and have been using it since 2010.  Yup, I even remember the year because my friend was getting married and I bought it specifically for the look that I was going for - Kim K. lips of course.  I was super excited when MAC introduced Whirl as a lipstick so I had to snatch it up. I didn't pick-up Stone because at the time I thought it looked similar to color I purchased from Colourpop.  It's not the same but are in the same family.

    Limited Nail Polish 'Washeteria'

This is a limited color that came in the Wash and Dry Collection.  It's a pretty teal color.

    Rite Aide

Rite was having 40% this brand and I wanted to try there highlighters and bronzer.  When I saw this one in particular it says it gives a bronzer and highlight effect so I was super curious and anxious to try it.  Not bad....picture above

    TJ's Max

It doesn't matter how old I get, I have accepted that acne is apart of my skin.  I saw these products and wanted to try it.  They both retailed at $9.99.

Clinique Acne Solution Spot Healing Gel
When you have a zit that is healing or has been recently popped, it normally leaves a lump on the surface and may look ugly after applying makeup because it will look uneven.  The purpose of this product is to apply on those areas, wait until it drys and then apply your makeup application.  It leaves your makeup looking more smooth in the areas that you have an unwelcoming acne spot.

My coworker actually introduced this product to me and it's amazing.  As soon as you get a pimple growing, you apply this baby on it (I like to use a Q-tip) and let it air dry.  Now, it does have a horrible scent and is not recommended for those who have sensitive skin.  It can also feel strong after it's been applied but then it settles.  Overall, it works like a miracle.  It helped reduce my acne spots quickly.

Soft Eyes with a pop of Blue eyeliner using affordable brands

I started with a very light eye application that almost looked as if I didn't have any eyeshadow on.  I like to concentrate more on my skin since I am very conscious of my rosacea, large pores and acne/acne scars.

So of course I had to add some color and what better than adding my FAVORITE color - Blue and lashes - using NYX Gel Liner and Smudger in 'Cobalt Blue'

and NEW synthetic lashes that I purchased at the Make Up Show from Frends for $1.00 #962 (no name brand).  I like it because it looks natural and I can use it under my glasses.

      My eye is tearing

APRIL MONSTOR HAUL & FAVORITES (MAC; LUSH; Lash Bunny Boutique; L'Oreal; Ulta; & Sephora-VIB Rouge)

I LOST MY MIND in the month of April!!!  I have been trying to be really good from OVER BUYING makeup, but I fell off the wagon.

I was saving all my $ for a trip to Mexico yet my plan failed so I did what I do best - shop for makeup.

      MAC Is Beauty Collection (Limited):

      • Fluidline - Silverstroke (silver metallic)
      • Fluidline - Deliciously Rick (shimmer chocolate)
      • Eyeshadow - Preening (mint green)
      • Eye Pencil - NC15/NW20 (creamy beige)
      • Lipstick - Reel Sexy (coral/pink)
      • Lipstick - Call the Hairdresser (strawberry)
      • Lip Conditioner(not apart of the collection)
I like to use a fluidline as a shadow base or as an eye liner, which is its actual purpose on my top and lower lash line.  I don't like to use this product in my waterline because it irritate my eyes.  It applies smoothly and helps keep your eye application in tact for a long time.
My favori te item from this collection must be the eye pencil.  It's not a "big" deal because you can find the color in other brands, however, it doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes.

      LUSH:

      • BIG Sea Salt Shampoo (a repurchase for me) - this shampoo conditions and exfoliates the scalp.
      • D'Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap - this product is new to me but I already LOVE IT!  It's a shaving cream made of strawberry so it smells nice but feels even better :)  It leaves my skin so soft after shaving without feeling any irritation, redness or razor burn.
      • BB Seaweed Fresh Face Mask - this is also NEW to me.  I got it FREE with Lush recycling program.  This mask is required to be refrigerated.  I like to warm it in in my hand prior to applying to my face and it leaves my skin so clean and soft.
      • Mask of Magnanimity (sample size) is my FAVORITE mask of all time.  It exofoliate my skin removing dirt, oil and makeup as well as unclog pores.
Clockwise: BIG (white); BB Seweed (green/gray clay); Mask of Magnanimity (green); and D'Fluff (pink)

I like that each jar has an expiration date telling you when it's time to dispose on the back.  It also includes all the natural ingredients.

      Lash Bunny Boutique: Mink Lashes

Lash Bunny Boutique is an online and a cruelty free company located in Vancouver, Canada.  They sell mink lashes that is design in different shapes and sizes that will accommodate all eye shapes.  The lash band is soft and comfortable to wear over your natural lashes.  Overall, the lashes are made beautifully; nicely packed; shipping wasn't too bad being that it comes from Canada, but it's not 3 to 5 days either and I highly recommend it.  As all mink lashes, it can be used up to 20-25 times.

      'Bunny Love' - My favorite!
'Marilyn's Wink' - GREAT for eye glasses users
      'Vancity Babe' - So tempted
      'Seduce You' - So Pretty!

      L'Oreal (Rite Aide)

Rite Aide was having 40% and I had my list ready!  I purchased:
      • Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation in #106
      • True Match #W6
      • Infallible Blush #701 and #704
      • Teloscope Mascara (repurchase)
Social Media has been RAVING about the NEW Infallible Pro Matte Foundation and an oldie but goodie True Match, which I have never tried before.

I LOVE the Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation - it's perfect to use especially now that we will be going into Summer.  I actually used and shared a look using it on my last post - Blue Fever Inspired Look.  The foundation actually does provide a matte finish for a long time, not sure for 24hrs; it's not heavy nor does it clog the pores; and looks great leaving your skin looking healthy.  I recommend it to those who have oily-combination to oily skin.  As for True Match, I don't know if it's because I love so much the Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation that I haven't really given it a chance, but I'm not into it.

As for the Infallible blushes, I was given 'NUDE' last year at a workshop I attended and LOVED it.  Therefore, I purchased two more -

      Swatches over no primer

The texture of this blush is like mousse and it has a small amount of pigmentation.  It's great for those who doesn't like or know how to apply blush.  It provides a light color with highlight without looking too much.
      Ulta

I made 2 trips to Ulta.  The first stop:

      • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes - 'Night Calming' & 'Hydrating' - I'm really liking Hydrating.
      • NYX NEW Micro Brow Pencil - GREAT drug store duo pencil!!!!  NYX has a selection of colors to choose from.
      L to R: Ash Brown & Auburn
      • Maybelline NEW Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
      • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 'Sand' and 'Medium'
      • Maybelline NEW Master Prime 'Blur + Smooth' - a Great drug store dupe to Make Up For Ever Step 1 Smoothing Primer
      • Maybelline Limited Lipstick 'Strike A Rose' (pink/coral color w/pigment).  A celebration to Maybelline's 100 Birthday.  I LOVE the packaging!
      • Benefit The Porefessional primer travel size
      • IT Cosmetics CC Cream travel size
      • Duo lash glue
      • Rimmel London Stay Matte Long Lasting '00 Transparent' - GREAT drug store powder to use over your highlighter.

      • John Masters Organics - Shampoo and Conditioner (Color Enhancer)

This is the first time I have ever tried this brand.  It caught my attention since I am now a red head, I really wanted a good shampoo and conditioner that will help with any damages.  It leaves my hair so soft,  shinny and healthy.
My second trip was to return Maybelline foundations.  Again, since I have too many foundations and was gravitated to certain ones, I didn't give it chance :(

I exchanged the foundations to Maybelline's NEW Lash Sensational mascara.

      Sephora V.I.B Rouge

I was kind of good because my wallet was literally crying but I got to pick-up:
      • Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation 'Tawny 3W1'
      • Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer '02 Medium' - this is the first item I own from Estee Lauder and I love it!
      • Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess illuminating Powder - I bought this item at Macy's and not at Sephora.  I didn't like it so I returned it because I LOVE shimmer shimmer highlighters.  At first, I thought of keeping it in my kit to use for mature skin, but not even my mother liked it.  I bought her both items for Mother's Day.

      • Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer 'Medium Neutral'
      • Dior Skin Airflash Spray Foundation 'Medium Beige 300'
      • Roses De Cloe Perfume
      • Soap & Glory Hand Food (lotion) - as you may know, this brand has been discontinued at Sephora.  You can purchase it at beauty.com
      • Clinique Moisture Surge Extend Thirst Relief Cream-Gel (redeem my points) - This product feels really nice on the skin and I've been faithfully using everyday.
      • Sephora headphones (redeem points)
      • Set (redeem points):
