KAT VON D EVERLASTING LOVE LIQUID LIPSTICK NEW COLORS

I have been a fan of Kat Von D. liquid lipsticks since 2012 and I LOVE it!

In February 2014, new colors were released.  It was reformulated and resized but at the same price - $19.  Thank you K.V.D :)  I was super excited, but it was sold out the same week so I had to patiently collect my fave.

Swatches:
Left & down
  • Armageddon - carnation pink
  • MUA5 - deep raspberry (online called 'Bauhau5')
  • Lolita - dusty rose
Right & down
  • Bachelorette - dark reddish fuchsia (very similar to MAC's Relentless-Red)
  • Underage Red - bright crimson
  • A Go-Go - bright orange-red
  • LUV - rich violet

Side by side - top to bottom - OLD to NEW tube
Design on packaging
As you can see the old packaging has a design on the top only as the new packaging has it on the entire bottle.

Pros/Cons:
  • I like the new formula because it's not as drying on the lips as the older packaging.  The older formula would leave a crack rim on the inner outer lip after drying, but the new formula doesn't do that.

  • You're getting your money's worth because with the new packaging you get more product but at the same price as the older.  New Packaging - 0.22 oz / Old Packaging - 0.18 oz
  • The colors are pigmented
  • The color is long lasting
  • The sponge is soft and easy to use
  • It drys fast
  • It can be purchased at Sephora or Sephora.com
Wand
 I purchased the following:
  • A Go-Go
  • MUA5
  • LUV
  • Vampira
Swatches Wet - colors listed in order as described above

Sephora Mini Haul / Inspirational Recreation

I recently have been going through a trial of facial products (samples) to help reduce (and hopefully one day eliminate) my pores.  I am not sure if it's because I'm getting older :( or due to the weather, but my pores have been out of control and that is NOT sexy especially on camera.  Sephora is always the best place to go to get samples so you can try out which product/brand works for you!

Sephora.com had nice products that you can redeem with your points so I had to go shopping and picked up on July 12:
  • Boscia No Pores No Shine T-Zone Treatment $36.00.  Click the link - Boscia Treatment
I have really come to love this brand especially since nothing that I own has failed me yet.  It is pricey but worth it.  This is a treatment to help reduce your pores and eliminate anti-shine.  Using only 1 pump, I put this on during the morning prior to moisturizing.  It drys very quickly, which is great for timing and I can continue with my morning routine.  The texture is very soft & smooth.  It reminds me of Hourglass Veil primer.  This product doesn't have a scent.
  • Ardency Inn - Modster Smooth Ride Supercharged Eyeliner in 'Liliac' $19.00. Click the link - Liliac Pencil
This is my first time purchasing anything from this brand.  I am attracted to its super fun and edgy look online and poster at Sephora.  I was super disappointed at myself for not stopping by there booth at the Makeup Show.  The color 'Liliac' screamed "GET ME!!"  When I first swatched it, I immediately fell in love with the texture.  It's really creamy, long lasting and waterproof.  It comes in 9 different colors and works great in the waterline and for people with sensitive eyes.

L to R: Double Line and Single Line Swatch

  • Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish $25.  Click on the link - Body Scrub
I repurchased this scrub in the store.  I know I have mentioned it before but I LOVE IT!!!!!  It's made from shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar.  It smells delicious, makes your skin feels so soft and helps with dry skin (perfect for winter).

Items I redeemed with my Beauty Insider points:
  • Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (100 Points)
  • Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll in 'Black' (100 Points)
  • Givenchy Le Rouge Color 202 Rose Dressing - bright coral pink (100 Points)
  • Marula Cleansing Lotion (Free Sample)
  • Philosophy Time In A Bottle for Eyes (Free Sample)
  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (Free Sample)
  • NEST Fragrance - Amazon Lily (Free)

I immediately knew that I wanted to recreate this look - it's beautiful!  However, my timing was completely off  - a little passed 11:00 pm., I began to remove my makeup, but decided to play with this recreation.  My eyes were burning but I said to myself lets do this.  My eyebrows and choice of foundation were off but I really tried to concentrate more on the eyes and this was my final look -
