Fighting Leukemia with Fashion

I am so proud of having the opportunity of being apart of this event.  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (L.L.S) - fighting blood cancer - hosted a fund raiser to raise money for children and their families fighting life threatening illnesses.  The event was a fashion show located at 404 Lounge in New York City.  I volunteered to do makeup, but I really wanted to be present cause this event is very close to my heart for I am a mother with a child fighting Leukemia.  My son was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (A.L.L) when he was 2 yrs. old.  He's now almost 6 yrs. old and is close to finishing his treatment of 3 years.  I know for a fact how these events help families like mine and I am truly appreciative to witness it at first hand.

Honestly, I went to this event with no clue to what to expect, but I was extremely excited cause it was my first time attending a fashion show.  It was exactly what you see on T.V shows like 'Sex in the City' and 'The Next Top Model.'  By the time I arrived, mostly all the models were dolled up already by the other two makeup artists and styled by the stylists.  All the models were so beautiful and handsome.

You know I took pictures, lol, but my camera is breaking slowly cause I had trouble snapping all night and if that wasn't the case some pictures look blurry.  Enjoy the slide show!

The show was fantastic!!!!  I was informed that more than 260 guests attended and raised over $10,000, which is AWESOME!!!  This supports L.L.S mission to cure those battling leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

THANK YOU L.L.S!!!!

God Bless ALL who are battling cancer or know someone who is!!!!
