Haul - ColourPop Cosmetics, Sephora, MAC, Rite Aide & TJ's Max

I did damage once again purchasing items at ColourPop Cosmetics, Sephora, MAC, Rite Aid & TJ's Max.  I wanted to share some cool products with you.

ColourPop was celebrating there 1st year Anniversary by giving away a FREE eye shadow called "Birthday Girl" with a purchase (over $30 is FREE S&H).  The packaging is so pretty in hot pink and a picture of a cake in the center.

I purchased LIMITED "Where the Light Is" Collection.  The set was a collaboration with Kathleen Lights - a YouTube guru.

Collection Includes: Glow; Blaze; Cornelious; Kathleen Lights;

And of course it didn't just stop there.

L to R: Cornelious; Shark Attack; Kathleen Lights; Birthday Girl

L to R: Rex; Taco; I Heart this; Blaze

The colors are so pretty and pigmented mixed with matte and metallic finish.

I also purchased 1 Lippi Stix and Lippi Pencil both in 'Tootsi', which is described as a matte cool-toned grey beige

Left to Right: Lippie Stix and Lippie Pencil

Sephora

This limited summer collection set comes with the following:
  • NARS 'Supervixen' lip gloss (full size)
  • Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in 'Park Avenue Princess #1' (travel size)
  • BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed highlighter in 'Opal' (travel size)
  • Urban Decay baked duo eyeshadow 'Half Baked/Twice Baked' (full size)
  • Bite Beauty High Pigmented Pencil 'Madeira' (travel size)
  • Sephora Contour Eye Pencil  12 Hr Wear Waterproof in '#14 Cocoa - Chocolate' (full size)
  • Too Face Chocolate Soleil Bronzer 'Chocolate Soleil' (travel size)
  • Formula X Nail Color 'Evocative' (travel size)
I was super excited about this collection because it comes with brands that I love and/or already use.  It has 2 full size items and the rest in travel sizes, which I really like.  The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the product by Too Faced.  I wish Sephora would have added the new addition 'Dark Chocolate' instead of 'Chocolate Solei'.  Overall, I highly recommend to get it before it's sold out.  It retails at $39.00.  I believe it's sold out online but I have seen it in 2 Sephora stores.

Nars 'Supervixen' is described as sheer sparkling mauve
Park Avenue Princess #1, #2 and #3
Sorry for the poor lighting.  Sadly, my Tarte crayon completely broke off the pencil before I got a chance take swatches.  The swatches above were taken at Sephora.

Becca highlighter described as a golden opal pearl
Urban Decay baked duo eyeshadow - I would describe it as a gold and bronze color.  *This is the only product that is limited*
Bite Beauty is described as a nude pink
This is a nice smooth eye pencil.  I will describe the color to its name - Chocolate

    MAC Cosmetics

It's been a while since I have personally used any product from MAC besides eyeshadow, lipstick, lip gloss or lip liner.  Lately, I've been having a little addiction to MAC foundation and skin products.

MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation is NEW to the Pro Longwear family and I LOVE IT!!  It's a beautiful & lightweight foundation that makes your skin look super flawless.  It's a medium to full coverage and can be used on any skin type.

I have heard wonderful reviews about this product but never thought of picking it up until now.

MAC Prep + Prime Skin Refined Zone Treatment

This is good to use by those who have oily to oily-combination skin.  You apply it to your T-zone, which are the areas that get oily on your face and it will absorb the oil to keep that area matte.

    MAC Brush #135

MAC recently released new brushes and I have been EYING it for a hot minute especially this face brush in particular.  I really like "paddle" brushes because I like to pat on my makeup opposed to brush/buff it on.  I have large pores on my nose and during the summer it gets so bad due to the heat.  I have to use skin treatment to reduce it and makeup to camouflage it.  And when I use a brush, any in particular, around my nose area, I feel like it never looks like the rest of my face.  Therefore, I would use a puff that helps apply powder better than a brush around my nose.  All that said, this brush has been a win-win!  It's the perfect tool to use around my nose and face and I LOVE IT!!!  It helps leave my makeup application looking beautiful including my nose.

    MAC Pro Longwear eyeshadow 'Uninterrupted'

I kept hearing people on YouTube mention that MAC was discontinuing these eyeshadows, but until my friend in my head Jean Francois mentioned it, I ran to MAC to purchase it.  It's a great transitional color and I really like these type of "muddy" colors especially on green and brown eyes.
I highly recommend to check Jean Francois' channel on YouTube.  He's an amazing artist.

    I used 'Uninterrupted' my crease

Shroom is the first eye shadow I ever owned by MAC and my most repurchase color.  I love this color because it's a satin finish so it gives a small amount of shimmer that  is enough for a pop without over doing it. I love to use this under the brow bone.

Left to Right: Teddy (matte brown with red under tone) and Costa Richie (chocolate brown with bronze)
I have never owned these two colors before but it works well as a duo.  I like to use Teddy as a base color and Costa Richie for extra dimension. I highly recommend it.

Matte Lipstick: Top - Whirl  / Bottom - Stone

I love the lip pencil Whirl and have been using it since 2010.  Yup, I even remember the year because my friend was getting married and I bought it specifically for the look that I was going for - Kim K. lips of course.  I was super excited when MAC introduced Whirl as a lipstick so I had to snatch it up. I didn't pick-up Stone because at the time I thought it looked similar to color I purchased from Colourpop.  It's not the same but are in the same family.

    Limited Nail Polish 'Washeteria'

This is a limited color that came in the Wash and Dry Collection.  It's a pretty teal color.

    Rite Aide

Rite was having 40% this brand and I wanted to try there highlighters and bronzer.  When I saw this one in particular it says it gives a bronzer and highlight effect so I was super curious and anxious to try it.  Not bad....picture above

    TJ's Max

It doesn't matter how old I get, I have accepted that acne is apart of my skin.  I saw these products and wanted to try it.  They both retailed at $9.99.

Clinique Acne Solution Spot Healing Gel
When you have a zit that is healing or has been recently popped, it normally leaves a lump on the surface and may look ugly after applying makeup because it will look uneven.  The purpose of this product is to apply on those areas, wait until it drys and then apply your makeup application.  It leaves your makeup looking more smooth in the areas that you have an unwelcoming acne spot.

My coworker actually introduced this product to me and it's amazing.  As soon as you get a pimple growing, you apply this baby on it (I like to use a Q-tip) and let it air dry.  Now, it does have a horrible scent and is not recommended for those who have sensitive skin.  It can also feel strong after it's been applied but then it settles.  Overall, it works like a miracle.  It helped reduce my acne spots quickly.
